Gauges?

Right i have a 91 Camaro with a electronically Speedometer and gauge cluster, the trans in the car is a mechanical trans out of a 85 camaro and needs to be run off a speedo cable. I was wondering if the guage cluster from a older third gen will fit into the 91 dash set up, and will the harness for the rest of the guages be the same or will have to change out the whole wireing harness.

Welcome to TGO. Simply purchase a VSS for the 91 and plug it in to the new trans. You'll need to know the gear ratio in order to buy the correct drive and/or driven gears (if you wish for the speedo to read correctly). The 91 harness should still be there unless someone hacked it. Plug and play.

The cluster from an 82-89 will not fit without major modification.

The stickies in the following link may provide other info that will be helpful:

BTW, a search on site will general provide you with the info you require.
