Car: 1986 IROC-Z28

Engine: 5.0 TPI

Transmission: 700R4

Axle/Gears: Factory axle,and gears

shifter **** swap

Can you replace an 8 ball style shifter with the push down button,with an square shifter with the square button on 86 IROC with no problems?

You will have to replace the entire shifter, not just the handle. The way that they mount is different.

Or you simply grind a notch so that a snap ring can be applied.
