Metric overlays on MPH speedo

Hi guys, I am wondering if anyone knows if I can fit metric overlays into my GTA when I have the 140mph speedo. Here's the link

I can't see why it wouldn't work, but I figure I'll see if anyone knows before I order some

My guess is that the overlay would work fine--no reason I can think of why it wouldn't.

Thanks, that's pretty much what I was thinking. The only thing I could think of that might make it not work is if the stock gauges are backlit, which I'm not sure about on Firebirds, I know the Camaros aren't

Hmm. I'm remembering the needles being clear and transmitting backlighting for sure. Althought I haven't looked at a cluster in a while, the mph marking might be backlit too?

That's what I am wondering, if the lighting just comes from the needles then it should be okay, but if it comes through the cluster it won't work. Does anyone know?

Re: Metric overlays on MPH speedo

So no one knows if the dash lights shine through from behind or if they shine from the needle?

Re: Metric overlays on MPH speedo

If my math is right 140mph is 225kph so it will be a little fast.

I am 99% sure that the calibration is the same as the 140mph speedo.
