92 z28 dash in 87 z28
i cant seem to find any articles about this. i want to swap this all i found a parts car for 250 it has the 92 145 speedo and mint z28 dash and was wondering what do i need to take out in order to do this swap o and the cars not a real z its a 6 cylinder with all z28 options like posi and iroc rims the 145 speedo and z ground effects. idk if this makes any diference in the swap but let me know please

To swap the 91/92 style gauges into any other 3rd gen you're going to need to swap out the entire dash. You'll also need to repin the 91/92 dash to work with your 87. There are wires on C-100 (firewall) that will need to be moved around, and also on the computer harness (can't remember the id of that one).
I put a 92 dash in my 84, do a search on here for the thread on it.
It's really not that hard overall, just need to get the diagrams for the harnesses so you can match up the wires.

what about the speed sensor. also as of now my oil pressure and water temp are not working on the stock cluster their run to autometer guages. i dont need them. if you find the diagrams and anyother problems you had can you send me the link.

youll also need the actual dash mounts out of the 92, as the 90+ uses a different style mount
