Are you looking for '82-'84 and '85-'92, or just '85-'92? I don't know if 'bird dash's ever changed...

Re: 82-92 Camaro & Firebird Dash pads

I have an 82-84 with a couple of very minor cracks between the defroster vents and the windshield side of the dash, and an 85-92 that is mint. How long would you need it?

I have an 85'-92' dash pad in perfect condition minus one of the speaker grills(those are easy to find though.) No cracks or imperfections that i'm aware of. I'll look over it again. How long would you need it? I don't plan on putting it in the car anytime soon as the one in the car now looks really good except the crack that recently was created by a friend at the windshield vents. I do plan on swapping it in the car in the future though.

Re: 82-92 Camaro & Firebird Dash pads

If you can reproduce a high quality one you will sell a ton of them. I have been searching for a good one for months with no luck. The one classic industries has does not fit right or look right and that is why it does not sell.

Good luck with the project, If you choose to create this product I hope turns out well.

Oh man. You have me worried now. I bought a new pad from Classic and it's sitting in my garage still in the unopened box. Can you tell me specifically what is wrong with this pad? Should I return it?

Re: 82-92 Camaro & Firebird Dash pads

there is a quarter inch gap on the center vent holes. At least on the early runs there where. Pull yours out and put it on the dash and see if it has the same issue.

HI Charcoal,

I'm looking for one that we can buy,we'd need to ship it oversea to one of our manufacturers along with one of the guys here to oversee the project.

We have some great connections that would make a nice quality part,I just need to get a couple into my hands.

Tony

If someone could post a digi pic of this I'd be interested to see what the fit is like.

We looked into this, and to make that piece it would have been a small fortune for the tooling. There are a few different pieces to this dash.

So does that mean the project is dead? too bad, I would be in the market for an 82-84 one as well... These sell in the used market for over $500! plus shipping... insane. Too bad it is so hard to make.

Any tips on how to keep a nice one from cracking?

Maguires vinyl restore and protect. Works wonders and is a UV blocking polymer.

Keep it out of the sun. Get a dash mat to cover it.
