i have a 91 rs with a 350 in it and i realy dont like the gauge set up or the crappy steering column.
half the gauges dont work,the speedo doesnt work because the trans is set up for a mechanicle speedo, and the steering column is loose and shitty.its got cruise and tilt and all that other crap, but i dont want that crap. i like the older style dash and column.
i have an 88 iroc parts car that the motor came out of and the dash is great and the column solid and in good shape.

what kind of things should i need to keep in mind if i try swaping the dash and column?
is it possible?

btw,the 91 HAS the security key,and air bag(ripped out)
the 88 does not

 

I am interested in this too. If I can get a 90-92 and put the 89-earlier instrument panel on it, that would be great.
