RPO D27. Cover, locking rear storage (std Berlinetta). 84-89.

Re: question on panel

They were available starting in 1982. You need to get the cover as well as the rear plastics. The rear plastic cover has a lip and a latch for the cover to rest on and lock into.

Interesting. I see no reference to them in the Camaro White Book until 84.

At any rate, they should fit 82-85 without problem. John has some for sale, 305forever, should you be interested:

Re: question on panel

Only reason I know for a fact they were available in 1982, was because my 1982 Z28 with CFI that I bought in 1985 had it. The car had 29k miles on it when I bought it.

The following, which we were apart of, seems to provide the answer to the 82-83 question:

Re: question on panel

While reading that, it was stated by Dens that D27 was part of B48. That, I can't say for sure, but the last post states that the 86 doesn't have the cover with B48. Maybe we need to start a poll and see who has what! As for this thread, they were available thoughout the entire run, but there were different styles based on the years because of the auto pull down feature coming later on.

For 82 and 83, the White Books only lists B48, while both B48 and D27 are listed through 89. No mention of either 90+.
