mice in my interior any help appreciated

i dont know what thread i should put this in but since its in danger of destroying my interior i figured this would be right. my cars stored at my friends house for the winter and last week when i came over to start her up and take her for a drive to keep everything running we discovered some fuzzy friends living in my car. anybody have any sure fire ways to get rid and keep the mice out of my car? cus as of right now i have no other place to keep it.

if not i fear im going to have to re do my interior once its time to take her out.

I would also fear the wiring. There's been debate over using dryer sheets, I still use the really purfumy ones either way. Also remove all food crumbs etc. in between all the crevices and I think that they may also tend to hang around when the car is a bit warmer than the outside air when it starts to get colder. Also remove anything that they can make a nest with too.

honestly, I would look into getting some sort of repelant. I've never had an issue with mice but if I leave the car parked at my parents for a few days, ants will get in. I usually just spray ant killer inside the car and leave it be for a few hours (windows closed) then let it air out with the windows down for a couple of hours and drive around with the windows down for a bit to be sure... good luck

For starters set some traps with peanut butter for bait in the car. i know some guys use moth ***** inside the car but the smell tends to linger for quite a while. If the car is in a garage, set some boxes of Decon out but be careful that pets can't get into it. Good luck.

Re: mice in my interior any help appreciated

For the past few years I have stored my car at my parents farm for the winter and farms have tons of mice. When I store my car I get a box of bounce fabric sheets and a few boxes of glue traps. Never had any mice in the car at all. I moved to Florida for a few months and stored my car at my parents house and forgot to put in the fabric sheets and I was having my parents check on the car every now and then and one day my mom found some little droppings on my center console and then got the fabric sheets and glue traps and no more droppings. Have never caught a mouse on the glue traps either, just another precaution just in case they get in. I get the box of about 60 sheets, or whatever is the smallest, and just place them all over inside the car. The glue traps I put them on the floor, one in front of each seat as well as one behind, a few up on the hump in the back and a couple down in the storage area.

Also if you decide to go with the fabric sheets, go with the bounce fabric sheets. My parents have tried the cheaper walmart brand as well as the downy sheets and they still had mice in their car. Switched to bounce and didn't have any more. Just my thoughts on what to do to give you an idea on what works for me.

I could let you borrow my cat. Did the trick for me!
