Looking for nice seat covers!

I need to locate some seat covers for my '88 Camaro. I'd like to find a clean look, nothing stupid or flashy. Any one out there have any suggestions, and or pics. to aid in my search?

Re: Looking for nice seat covers!

Not sure what you want to accomplish.

I wanted to just protect my seats, so I've been through a few sets of plain jane off the shelf black covers from walmart or the zone just to protect my pristine 4th gen seats from the sun (and my dirty butt). I usually go through an afternoon of customizing them for my seats so they don't billow out so much. I put the cover on the seat inside out, then I grab needle and thread and pull the edges tight, and sew them up tight - then when I flip them over and reinstall, they are a nice tight fit (except in the back where it's concave). I also cut out and sew the edging around the seat belt holders and the switches. Then when it's showtime, I simply yank them off. Keeps my seats clean and protected from fading, plain black velour usually looks pretty good overall, and easy to yank off.

If looking for more permanent solution, you'll have to get more insight - with the $12k+ I've spent so far, I haven't the cash left at the moment for a really cool embroidered show-quality interior cloth redo ... but one of these days ....

Re: Looking for nice seat covers!

If you want to replace what's on them, Hawks has some very nice reproduction replacement covers that look really nice. Quite a bit more than just covers, but they'll probably last lots longer. I'm in the process of doing mine now and posted some pictures.

Hawks is a site sponsor and has a banner on the right margin most of the time.

These look pretty nice, and priced decent too.
