I think the manual shifter plate looks awesome. Does anyone know anything about the shifter plates Hawks is supposed to have available? Their website still says available May 2010.

Yeah they are kinda pricy when you buy them in the jy but when I got my T5 I got the 5 speed shifter plate for free I don't know how but I only pay for the trans, clutch, and pressure plater, and the guys didn't even charge my for the driveshaft, 5 spd plate, nor the starter

Good luck finding one in the jy

Who needs luck!

I just picked one up from the yard, for only $7. It has a crack on the right corner where someone must of overtightened the bolt and made it crack. Its a small peice and I plan to fix it by going back and taking a chunk out of another plate or maybe even mine. I should get it installed today if I finish some other things.

So I take it you have looked all over your area? Typed in your zipcode into a search engine and called every yard that is a good distance for travel for you?

I just typed in 14201 as a generic zipcode near you and found a good amount of yards that I would call and get some inventory check. Hell I will even look around the border states and check, thats even better than the prices online places like Hawks and other overpriced spots are charging.

@ Irocket How is it *****? I would love an explanation. For me I have always loved the leather boot in other vehicles I have driven, my uncles 98 Bravada has it and its a nice interior touch, and I also love how it looks with our cars, Yes its gonna confuse people but who cares.

I like the look, it was $7 and about 10 mins of my time for those little interior touches that makes it unique, how is that bad?

there's not many u-steal it yards around the buffalo area. i know im usually at both of them on the weekends lol looking for third gens, and like H8TRAFIC said, there aren't any third gens in them.

a buddy of mine told me that there's one in lewiston but im not too sure on that. there's plenty of junk yards around here that will charge an arm and a leg for things and probly don't have third gen specific stuff. but there's only 2 of them in the city, at least that i know of.
