Firebird to Camaro auto shift knob?

Car: 1986 Trans AM

Firebird to Camaro auto shift ****?
Is it possible to swap a firebird automatic shift **** with a Camaro shift ****? And does the year matter? My car is a 1986 Trans AM. Looked around couldn't find an answer to this... Thanks in advance.

you should be able to, I believe both have the same "staple" clip on the front...my question is why??? The Trans Am shift **** always seemed more ergonomic and sportier than the Camaro one...

IDK, just use to the smaller shifter, Firebird's is just too big... drove my brother's Camaro and really liked it.

They'll swap back and forth... Personally, I'd use the correct shifter for the car. Otherwise it's more blurring of the cars identity.

If you want to go with a smaller shift ****, how about trying the 1982 Firebird/TRANS AM shift ****?
