Custom Leather Seat Covers

I've been looking at custom leather seat covers for my 88 iroc. I was just wondering it anyone had any experience with seat covers, good or bad? Any companies better to work with then others?

Re: Custom Leather Seat Covers

I've heard nothing but good things about "The Cover Girl". I think she's a member here. I was going to have her do some covers for me before spring, but my funds are currently directed toward other, more pressing Third Gen needs that cropped up (while sitting in nice seats is good, it's no fun if you can't shift to reverse to get out of your parking spot). So anyway, while I can't personally attest to her work, everyone who can seems to say she's top notch.

I don't see any contact information on her site, just ways to add things I don't need to a shopping cart. Am I missing how to buy seat covers?

Re: Custom Leather Seat Covers

$550 shipped for covers you put on yourself. She will schedule a day to make them so you know about when to expect them, but needs a down payment to reserve the time. The date was a couple months out back when I was looking into this. I ended up deferring for now due to cost.

Dont expect to get anything soon.Shes been promising to build me a set for over a year. She's got my money & i have nothing yet.Everytime i asked her for an update. She always has something else happening in her life. She tells me shes been sick for the past year, yet there is NO mention of it on her website.Other "reasons" given at various times were, hospitalised & moving! She also told me she'd refund my money @ 100 a week & has yet to only give one payment in the past 4 weeks. Her work might be good, but her comitment to deliver, lacks!Total disappointment, dont expect to get anything soon if you order from her.

That sucks man, sorry to hear. I ordered covers from her about a year ago, got them in about three months. Installation was pretty straight forward, all you need are hog ring pliers and the hog rings. Best to do one seat at a time so you know exactly how they came off. Mine are black and red leather, came out good.

Re: Custom Leather Seat Covers

Sucks worse!Just received an email from her tonight stating "now your not getting anything".Thats what you have to deal with people.Seems i was under the impression that she was legit, but if you send her money. She WILL NOT DELIVER YOUR PRODUCT & ONLY GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND.I made the mistake of giving her $700 for seat cover. This was back on 6-8-09,yep over a year ago.Initially she told gave me a delivery date of OCT.Well oct came & went. Then she moved it up to nov/dec.Thats also came & went.So i contact her & she informs she is too sick to work! but still tells me she be able to start work on my cover in a couple weeks.I give her the benefit of the doubt & wait 2+, almost 3 weeks.Still nothing. This goes on for a while. Then shes in the hospital for surgery, after that she had to move.So no seat covers. After a year i gave up & decided a wanted my money back. She says, fine.I can give you $100 a week.Thats was 4 weeks ago & i have only one payment given so far.So im out $600.Dont make this mistake.Take your money & business to hawks or classic.Anywhere but her.

You've been warned!

Re: Custom Leather Seat Covers

I was planning to get back in touch with her this fall to make my covers. I went to their home about a year or so ago to get parts and they were very friendly (her and her bf/husband). She showed me lots of her work and it looked fantastic.

Hmm, I dunno. Maybe they're having some bad luck lately.
