91 SPEDO TO AN 85???

I HAVE TWO THIRD GENS A 91 FIREBIRD (WRECKED) AND AN 85. THE 85 HAS THE 85 MPH SPEDO, THAT DOESNT WORK BC THE TRANS I PUT IN THE CAR HAS AN ELECTRIC PLUG, SO THE MANUAL GEAR DOSENT WORK. HOW MUCH TROUBLE WILL SWITCHING THE DASHES BE? ANY HELPFUL TIPS WOULD BE GREAT!!!

Remove the VSS from the donor trans, install a speedo sleeve (gear housing) along with the the correct drive and/or driven gear, install the cable and drive into the sunset.

The piece that bolts into the trans on a car equipped with an electronic speedo is the VSS (vehicle speed sensor). Simply remove it and bolt in the pieces designed for a cable-driven speedo.
