Things that make you go Hmmmmmmm.....

I found one in a thread over a V8Buick.com

A guy just foolin around and put a 200KPH spedo in a car.
Started into a thread about adapting the higher reading KPH spedo into a MPH spedo.

Then a blurb poped up about a guy doing itto an 84 camaro, so the KPH was really MPH and the only side effects were the mileage was running slow. SO it showed less miles on the car.

anyone got a clue about messing with a KPH spedo and making it into a MPH.

Who here wouldn't like a 200+ spedo. Would really cure them V6 top speed debates.

Matt

I think the aswer will be in one of four places:

1) Tennesse
2) Canada
3) In the wind
4) Mexico

OR

Just get one of those 86/87 up full VSS speedos & enjoy. Kinda sux for those of us w/the speedo cable though

I read something in one of the tech articles about a v8 cluster being completely swappable into a v6.

I have to poke fun at this. What you should have written is.

The answer is in one of two places,
1) USA
2) Rest of the world.
Just being a joker I guess.

People do that. What happens is someone gets a US car and then they try to sell it with 150 km on it, when its really miles.

I was referring to this article: https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/gauges.shtml
It's worth a read, and definitely worth a try, except that I already installed a tach in my car.
