auto shifter
i have a 87 t/a automatic and i was wondering how to take off the top so i can take out console without breakin center console, also i was wonderin if i can put a after market shifter **** on it it is was possible

i think you pull the button offf the top and there is a clip on the inside of the ****................its been 5 years since iv took one off but i think thats how it is.

The T/A has a u-clip on the forward part of the handle(facing the radio).Pull that clip off & the handle should come right off.
