HELP?! Oil in my trunk?!?

So I was taking everything out of me car when I looked in the trunk and in the well of the trunk on the left side in the corner was a little puddle of oil on my carpet? Ther is nothing in my trunk nor has ther been for 5 months so no oil bottles wer ther. What's ther that could be pouring oil in the corner through the floor? Or is this just some kind freak thing and maybe the oil fairy left it. Any ideas?

have you checked underneath to make sure something isnt spraying into a possible hole, maybe a body plug rotted out? definitely unusual.

Re: HELP?! Oil in my trunk?!?

Like I havent been able to jack up the car but I looked underneath while one my knees and i saw no dripping or puddles of oil. I have pictures but I'm on my phone right now. Could this have jus been sitting ther since I got the car a couple months ago or would oil have disapated by then? I think maybe I just missed it. Cus I mean I poked around the puddle and it seems to be a bit rotted when I touch it but no holes and I haven't ripped the carpet out.

Its at the body shop now getting new paint so I won't be able to investigate untill the end of the week
