interior color swap
I really want to change my 91 Firebirds' interior from grey to black. I have had no luck finding all the black intrior plastic locally, I found some on ebay but the shipping cost for the large panels is outrageous. I work for a car dealership as a reconditioner/detailer and have access to rattle can vinyl dyes, and can get a deal on them from our supplier. I use the dyes often, and they are durable, but harsher cleaners will remove them. Only the best for my thirdgen...so should I bite the bullet on cost or just settle for dyes? Sort of looking for opinions, also, anyone in eastern Pa. have a set of black interior panels for sale? If I can avoid shipping costs I'm willing to pay the price for panels. I'm in the Allentown area.
Thanks

Re: interior color swap
I've got Black Plastics for sale.....
My advise is not to spray color on plastic panels. If you plan to keep the car - do it RIGHT !

Re: interior color swap
If you're going to attempt to change the color, use the SEM plastic paint with the sand free adhesive promotion.
I changed my blue interior to dark grey, and it's been holding up for about 2 years now and I've had the plastics in and out a few times now. So it's pretty tough.

I'm definately keeping the car, so I really prefere replacing the panels with black ones. John in RI, how much would be looking for and is it a complete set? I'm willing to pay shipping if its reasonable. Of course it'll be pricy for large panels but I think the shipping on the ebay auctions is outrageous.
