new carpet/seats PIC

had to share after lots of hard work... primarily installing the carpet.
  • used EZCool insulation from www.lobucrod.com. cheaper off ebay from same person. road noise is WAY down. bought two big rolls and have a piece left over for under the hood.
  • carpet is 'opal' color from 1Aauto. real nice only problem was around the rear seats was not exact fit near seat belt but no one will notice put a small patch in.
  • seats are late 4th gen not sure exact year. im loving these especially the side bolsters although surprisingly seems like i am sitting higher. this may be due to the fact that my old seats were a little broken underneath and i was almost sitting on the floorpan lol. i did have to use my 3rdgen seat track on the passenger side.
  • couldnt resist the logo floormats to 'pop'. so far impressed with those as well. they are Lloyds brand and quite large so dont move around or bunch up. theres even a little mechanism to hold them to the floor but havent installed yet.

How did your carpet fit? Especially over the hump between where two rear passengers would put their feet? Mine is lumpy as crap around there, I don't think I installed it right. Sure wish the piece would have come with everything cut out so I would have had SOME idea as to how the carpet goes in.

We do offer carpets from ACC with the console cutout. The bolt holes you need to line up yourself though.

Yea, I got the one with the console cutout, but the 'console cutout' just meant a hole where the shifter goes, not even including the e-break. Would have been a lot less frustrating if either A. I was better at carpet installation, or B. there was more stuff pre-cutout on the carpet.

Either way it's not that big of a deal, all I really gotta do is get out there and re-tackle it someday soon and I'm sure I'll get it straightened out nicely.

yeah the front part went in very well but rear seat area did not quite fit. youve definately got to cut holes for the seat bracket (if you had the dual option). but even after that, it fit nicely over the hump, but i couldnt quite get it fit right in the rear seat wells. if i made the floor flat there was not enough on the side/corner and vice versa. i got the one without the cutout bc theres a bunch of other holes to cut anyway.
