hey guys for some reason I walked out to my 90 RS and got inside and went to get something from the center console and it wouldn't budge. I cant press the button and nothing on it will let me open it, has anyone else had this problem?

does the button still spring back out on its own when you let go of it?

try pulling or pushing the lid towards the hinges as you are depressing the button it must not be releasing far enough to slip past the latch fingers, for some reason

 

i had the same problem a while back, i just smacked the lid around a little till it worked.....it did it again some time ago and i wound up breaking it trying to pry it open, so i wouldnt advise that. but ive been wanting to swap in a 4th gen console, so now i have more incentive.

 

ya I tried everything and it wouldn't budge so I ended up breaking off the little tooth, Besides i'd rather have that little piece of plastic broken off than to be pulled over by a cop and not be able to get my legal information out....
