can a analog guage cluster fit into a 91 firebird?

hello, another noob here... im sure this question has been answerd before. but i cant seem to find it. i have a 350 trans in my 91 and of course the speedo wont work (analog and electric i know.) but what im wondering is instead of putting one of them ugly and extra weight of a rear end mounted set up could i just swap the speedo or entire cluster from an older analog and put it in? has any one did this or is it to much work? i know the speedo dont go that high on the mph scale but im thinking ill only use it one the street, when i kick it down speeding is speeding as long as i know im doing 35 when i want to..lol

You can definitely put in a cable driven speedo into your existing cluster. You may even be able to swap your entire cluster but I'm not sure if all the wiring matches up. The connectors are the same but you may have to re-pin some of the wiring.
