so i have great deal on the table for some seats from a 2002 camaro. I want to know if its a direct bolt on or not ive gone through the threads and all i see is people talking about how 93-97 seats are an easy swap but dont mention the 98-02 years. if u can feed me some info it would be great. i want to get them before he changes his mind if they fit of course.

Well, what about the back seats? are they interchangable also, no one has said anything about the back seats. To the best of my knowledge.

 

They fit right in and bolt up the same. Unless you have a rear split seat then you have to remove the bracket for the seat back.

 

Some 3rd gens had split rear seats, some solid (the seat backs). All 4th gen rears are solid back (as far as I know). But they bolt in just fine, they just don't attach to the crossbar on each side of the hump in the center obviously.

 

NIIIICE, the 02 seats are awesome. They have the seperate headrest a la' thirdgen seats, right? My 4th gen seats are from a 95 Z28, and they are all one piece. They're cool, but I've seen way nicer in later 4th gen Firebirds and SS's

I wish I would have kept my split back seats too, they were much better. I got rid of them when I swapped to fourth gen seats. The split looked cooler and worked better, I should have recovered them to match the fronts damnit!
