84 Berlinetta Digital dash swap.
I have been looking around for a while online and have not found any real answers. I would like to know if I can swap in an analog cluster from like a 1985 Z28 or something into a Berlinetta with a digital dash without having to do any crazy modifications or to be honest any modifications at all. I don't really like the digital dash it doesn't suit my taste plus it doesn't really work so any input would be much appreciated.

I don't see how it wouldn't work. I do know that GM likes to change configurations. For instance, i Put an '84 Column in my '82. you would think it would just hook right up, but it didn't. they changed the wires around. Physically, it should fit fine. you'll just have to do the research on which wires go where to make it work. you will likely have to cut your Original Wiring harness.

Turns out i read the add wrong i just purchased this car i haven't looked at it personally my friend took a look at it for me because it's kind of a treck from where i live but i read the add wrong it has the analog mph and km/h gauges and i guess the z28 cluster should just swap right in. I'll probably have to just run wires for the tachometer i suppose.

Even with an Analog to Analog swap, your wires could be in different locations. Like i said, they like to change things. Check it out first. There may already be exsisting wiring there for a Tach.

Thanks a lot for your help. I'll take a look i hope it's all the same under there. When i get the new cluster i'll try to get one that is either the same year or as close as possible to 84 just to make it easier on myself.
