Does anyone sell this part that holds the swivle light in on the roof consoles? I'm thinking about making them because it took me years to find the one i have in a wreking yard.

Wow....I seem to find them on a regular basis.I guess most people dont realize how hard the components of the overhead console are to find.A few weeks ago I found 2 consoles at the same yard.Both were missing the flashlight and dome light but each had the swivel maplight and ring

 

Which is why I always advise buying a "complete" console--you can spend weeks trying to locate the various parts, especially the flash light which can go for $30 to $50 from what I've seen.

KRACKER JACK: When you're checking cars for parts don't forget to look under the seats, in the glove box and inside of the console. Sometimes these parts fall off and then get into places the prev. owner can't find.

 

This definitely seems like something that needs to be in the restoration company's catalogs. Mine is cracked in a few places, while the rest of the console is mint.

 

Well if i start making them would there be an intrest?

Probably, but I'd imagine the market would be limited.
