Interior Paint

Anyone know any company eg. (Classic Industries) that carries aerosol interior paint for painting (refinishing) the plastic interior trim parts? I am needing to repaint all my interior trim parts to the factor gray. Thanks.

Re: Interior Paint

If you clean the panels and let them dry , prep them really good, you can always try krylon fusion paint, depends on how picky you are

Re: Interior Paint

vinyl dye from autozone is the best and most durable. wont scratch off because it soaks into the material, u really have to do some sanding or scratching to get it off.

Re: Interior Paint

Any full line auto body jobber/supplier has plastic trim paint/dye in stock.
Both in spray cans and bulk.

Re: Interior Paint

sem makes good stuff
when we paint interior parts at work we very lightly scuff them the wash with thinner right before you paint. apply the thinner to a rag and wipe on

Re: Interior Paint

i just finish try ppg product sc series i had it color matched to the origanal interior and was very happy with the result. i only paint the tire cover. just to see how it would come out. its actually a dye and price at $60.00 a quart. i estimate that a quart should do the whole interior. i followed the spec sheet that is available online at ppg and did not use any plastic adhesion promotor. i washed it with dish soap scuffed it then clean it wax and grease remover. when i spray i dust it on.

Re: Interior Paint

From experince painting plastic parts on my bike i would recomend krylon fusion. Any paint will scratch and ware off so you shouldn't paint any were you touch alot.

A side note if you sand the trim you will make it smooth and funny looky just clean and use a scotch pad lightly.

Re: Interior Paint

just go to a paint shop, they can usually mix some up for you. Some places can mix it up into a spray paint can, too.
