i have some aftermarket seats and im not sure if im gunna be able to get them to fit. i just threw em in ther and they MIGHT b able to squeeze. lets get some people to chime in and let me know whats the widest seat you fit or heard of fitting. and im taking out the stock seat belts and putting in a harness so that will free up some space

I put a set of 05' GTO seats in my 88 GTA a few years back. However the console in a firebird isn't as wide as the camaro.

 

heres a pic. ill run to the garage real quick and take a measurement. i dont dig the logo on the headrests but hey i got them pretty cheap. $180 off craiglists isnt bad.

 

ok from side to side where you sit (the base) is 22 inches wide at its widest point.

 

The seats I installed (see build link in my sig) are 22.5" at the widest point on the base. They just touch the centre console but have room for the recline and don't touch the door.

 

i like that style seat , i'm interested also if they will fit .

 

That's the thing. I saw your sets your bracket holes on ur seat wer the right size. Mine are wider then the stock width. It's not as easy for me to bolt the stock sliders. I have to come up with some kinda of adapter.

 

Used aftermarket seats and the factory sliders. I fabbed up a piece of aluminum as an adapter. Pics are in my build (link in my sig).
