so basically I really want to strip my interior, because I hate the look of all the cheap plastic pieses, and the carpet is nasty. but it is hard to find pictures of third gens that have nicely done stripped interiors. so post pics, and give me tips on how to do this,
thanks.

Have a look at the thread in my sig. Might help you out. My interior rebuild was done with all new NOS pieces (even the lighter). Took me 18 months to find everything.
Any questions, just ask.
Also, best to get some small ziplock bags and post-it notes or pieces of paper to label screws and small items as you remove them...unless you have a great memory

Copy & Paste works, but you could just simply make it a functional, clickable link, like the stuff I have in my sig.
Besides.....Your link takes people to the last post, which currently means at the end off Page of 5, so people still hafta get back to the first page to even start reading. Lot of "work" vs 1 simple click.

the project, nice build, I really like the white guage overlay that you did.
im more so talking about a stripped interior for like a track car that is also used on the street. I saw this 1st gen in hot rod magazine, I think the article was called "the unfair advantage" and the 1st gen had a beautiful interior with a roll cage and sparco seats. I will try to find a picture, and post it

Re: pics of tastefully done stripped interiors
Keep in mind that if you are using this as a driver as well as at the track, the "no carpet" theme will heat up the car exponentially.
Are you keeping the back seat?
I will be replacing all the plastic in one of my 3rd gen firebirds, but I am replacing it with custom panels covered in a feaux leather.
That project will be in the future.
To remove the plastic and give the inside a "drag car" appearance, I am guessing the use of angular bent aluminun panels with the roll bar.
A lot of the bracing on the floor of that first gen were customized and/or replaced to make the floorboard look that good.
Make sure you know all of what you are getting into before you start and good luck.
