Trying to finish up the interior of my car. I need to reinstall the console, but the carpet on the sides looks like heck. Where is the best place to get replacement yardage? ACC wants $60 for 2 yards. Any suggestions?

Is it just dirty? What color is the carpet? Or is it disintegrating.Originally Posted by 855speed

Well if it was just replaced improperly, try and fix it. If you want to clean it, go with some purple power, water it down as per instructions, soak the sides with warm water, spray purple power, scrub a little and shop vac it dry. Repeat until desired level of clean has been achieved.
It needs to be replaced. It is mismatched, (carpet style and color) and it was cut improperly and there isn't enough material to fix it.

Sorry man, I have no idea about replacement, only really fixing what I got, in that case, maybe someone else will chime in?

just FYI - 2 yards of ACC carpet will cover a whole car since one yard is 36"x70"; you could get by with A LOT less than 2 yards

wouldn't the above almost be 2 sq yards aka 2 yards?
1 yard = 1 yard (3 feet/36") by 1 yard (3 feet/36") or 9 square feet.
But, either way, 9 square feet is a ton to have to buy just for the console.
You should go to a local rug store and see if they have any commercial grade scraps that are close in color and see if they will sell you a small chunk.
I say let 1A dan give you a good deal on a new rug and use a chunk from the old for your center console. It's time to freshen up the car anyway; it's Spring.

hey, i know whatcha mean here, a bit of a headscratcher. ACC's carpet rolls are 70" wide, so they sell based off that. we can do 1/3, 1/2, and whole yards too. When I go to redo my carpet sometime (hopefully) this summer, I'll probably grab an extra 1/2 yard to do some panels and the sub box too

I just swapped oout my console for a junk yard one that was not carpeted in the 1st place. Looks the same and less work.
But, I also ordered cut-pile carpet from JC Whitney for real cheap and carefully pulled off the old to use as a template (you can get both loop and cut-pile). My whole car carpet was like 140.00 plus shipping, but it was more than 2 total yards. But again, I ended up keeping the non-carpeted console.

Might should've tried 'J F Hagen Dist.' right here in S.A.

Do you have to buy full rolls?
why don't we know about that because you should sell small sections for sub boxes. Has your company considered putting backing onto carpet and offering floormats the same color as the interior rug? If you priced it reasonably I know I'm only 1 person but i'd order a grey set of floor mats that matches the ACC rug that I bought.

ACC does make floor mats in the same colors and materials as their carpets, so you're all set there.

As for the unmolded stuff, we try to keep universal stuff off our page to eliminate possible confusion when it comes to ordering what you need. If its custom or not a direct fit, we prefer to have contact with the customer before hand (phone usually is the best) to make sure you get exactly what you want.
