All of mine are clear bulbs, just some have the orange/red rubber sleeves over them for the colored lighting.

Ah ha, I see now. Mine have the rubber sleeves on them too, but those sleeves look completely orange. Maybe they started red but faded over the years?
Im trying to decide if I should switch over to some red bulbs like these.

They're supposed to be orange... Pontiac orange. Those bulbs in the auction there WILL fade to pink in months. I had them. I think I got decent red ones in a yellow package at Advance Auto or somewhere. And besides, 10 bulbs isn't enough. The gauge cluster requires 12 bulbs.
Either retrofit red LEDs or remove the gauge faces and either put red cellophane on the back or paint the back of each gauge face red if you want red.
