Interior Hatch Trim Screws

Some of the screws and i guess you would call them retainers or nuts? broke in the hatch, They go in the side hatch trim, big plastic screws that go through the trim then the plastic piece that i guess inserts into the metal behind it that the screw threads into.

Does anyone know where i can buy some of these? or know of an easy solution? These interior pieces hanging off are on my last nerve.

i need both the screw and the other piece

paint/dye to match, or look for the right color

Note that you can buy them at your local big box parts store in the Dorman/HELP parts section. They also may have the "clips" that fit into the body that the plastic screw grips into.

These clips are now discontinued so check the above e-bay seller
Florida Auto Fasteners as they DO sell them.

Check the classified section of TGO. I bought some tan screws (hard to find). I also repaired some broken ones by drilling a hole in them and screwing them together.

You can buy these at Florida Auto Fasteners and they are called "interior cargo panel nut-clips". Package of (6) $5.00 and they are the same as the originals. They should also have the oversized plastic screws for them.

Re: Interior Hatch Trim Screws

I'm needing tan screws with the fasteners. I know of 2 that are broke but I'm sure once i get back there and start going over it there may be more, So I'm thinking 4-5 is how many i need. I'll probably just get the nuts from florida auto fasteners, and see if i put the screws up anywhere. No sense in you going through the trouble of shipping for such a small item.

Re: Interior Hatch Trim Screws

Sounds like a good idea. I only found two screws in brown anyways. Got tons of black and gray though.
