Re: new carpet and seat upolstry

I was told by my club owner to check out a local guy. He said he will do my seats for the same price as the woman in Milton on tgo. The advantage is he is 3 blocks from my house and it will take a day. The woman in milton is 180 miles away and will take her a week. I did get hawks third gen to have my seat made with the right material. they will be here middle of next week.

Re: new carpet and seat upolstry

Looking forward to pics!!!! Few tips for the carpet. First, let it sit out in the hot sun to make it more pliable. This is almost a must do. If you have a darker color, put an old sheet over it to avoid sun bleaching while you do this. The molded carpet is close to the right shape, but not perfect, and it doesn't want to remold unless warm. Second, triple check your placement before cutting! I had everything installed, only to find out the carpet wasn't far enough forward, and would only allow the gas pedal to go down 3/4 of the way!!!!!! It looked good, but I never noticed until I drove it. I had to re do it all, and thankfully you can't see any of the additional holes and cuts, but it was still a huge pain!!!!

Re: new carpet and seat upolstry

I started at 7:30 am and finished about 3 on saturday That was alot of work to get done I dont ever want to do this again. looks extreamly good I got GTA embroidered in the headreats. But for some reason before doing the seats the seat covers had a blueish tint, in the car they are black and I took a pic of the seats and they looked red compaired to the rest of my black interior

Re: new carpet and seat upolstry

the biggest problem I had was getting the center consle cut out they had a cut out already but was not nearly long enough. I ended up not doing any sound deadening. It is quieter than the original carpet and the plastic panels dont rattle together at all anymore.
