Removing 1982 Trans Am centre console?
Hi Everyone
I am planning on removing the carpet for cleaning and undercoating the interior floor pan,Anyone know how to remove the center console off the 82 Trans AM
Input would be appreicated

Its fairly simple actually.
First open the lid and remove the bolt or bolts inside of there (I don't exactly remember).Pry the shifter off, by prying out the U shaped clip. (Be careful, it will fly a half mile away if you jerk it.) Then remove the plastic shifter panel and there should be a few bolts on the inside. When you get those off, pull the E-brake all the way up and pull the console over, and Shi-bang! Your console has been removed. :goodluck:
