replace dash pad 92 Camaro

replace dash pad 92 Camaro

ok so i purchased a 1990 dashpad mint condition, how do i remove the old one? anyone have instructions or a site?

IIRC, four screws in the defrost area (don't lose them down the ducts) and perhaps a half dozen under the front lip. Take a peek.

Note: Be VERY cautious while putting it back on when it comes times to tighten the screws. Don't tighten them like you would normally think would be considered tight.. Basically just enough to make contact with the pad and VERY slightly tighten to take up any slack/movement. Over time, especially when the pad flexes with the heat, the overly tighten screw will cause the pad to eventually give way to a single crack. Once that happens, it will continue to crack.

One large pothole and that hairline crack can turn to one LONG slice!

Be very careful with the screws where the windshield meet. THOSE are the buggers that crack REAL EASY!
