Gear Selector looks wrong

I know that the car was in a front end collision, but how do I fix this?

It's in Drive but cosmetically its in neutral.

Re: Gear Selector looks wrong

You have to remove the cover( four torque screws & shift ****)) and adjust the plastic indicator strip to the correct position.

Re: Gear Selector looks wrong

On the back of the shift **** (closest to the radio) you will see a small pin either square or oval shaped flush against the shifter ****. The best tool to pop it out is a very small flat screwdriver (like a jewelers). Once the pin is out, grasp the shift **** and lift straight up. To re-install, slide it back on and insert the pin again. You can just use good finger pressure to seat it.
