Autometer Ultra Lite or C2 pics?
Anyone have a set of auto meter ultra lite or c2 gauges that could get some pictures of how they look in the car (and what you used to put them in the car bezel wise and such). Would especially like to see the ultra lites at night and how they illuminate. Have seen the C2s and really like how they illuminate.
Looking at options for new descent looking gauges but how to put them in the car and make it look good is what worries me about the auto meter gauges. I know hawks has the full clusters in a molded thing ready to install, but, like most things, they want to much for them. 850 dollars for a set of the ultra lites in their little plastic bezel thing, when I can get a full set on summit for 540 dollars. I'm not paying a 310 dollar premium for their 20 dollar piece of plastic lol.

do ultra lite II's count?
i tossed the stock cluster and modded the bezel surrounding the cluster to make the mount. and wired them all in off the stock cluster wires and a custom made gauge harness.

Those look nice, not really sure one what the differences between the Ultra Lites and Ultra Lite IIs are exactly though hehe.
So with this setup though, are you simply not concerned with a check engine light coming on?
I'm assuming the blue led in the middle is for bright lights.

the only difference i can find between the ultra lites and ultra lite IIs is maybe the color combo on the gauge and bezel.

They looked great during the day but it was like having an indiglo flashlight shining in my face at night.
I'm planning something a bit more subtle for my Z-28.
