Just go this one hooked up today. Didn't want to have a long cable running from the dash down to the cell phone. I also wanted it for being closer for my phone for the accessory outlet on the factory stereo once I put it back in. The EBrake has full function and does not get in the way at all... love having this in this spot.

Re: I want to see your custom gauges and other interior mods!
Drilled a hole and wired it up, it is a factory Camaro lighter, so when not in use I use the factory lighter in there to make it look clean. I do have it hooked up directly to the "memory" wire off the radio. Pretty simple, I will grab the holesaw size if you need to know. I did not even take out the console to get it done.

Yes, the stock/factory lighter still works and is in stock location. I added a wire off the "acc" in the fuse panel for the clock in console (was not an option on the 89) and ran the lighter off that wire. I drove the car today and love this location.

Re: I want to see your custom gauges and other interior mods!
This past spring I installed a new custom instrument panel. I designed it with 1/4" thick textured HDPE as the panel material and filled it with Marshall Blue Line gages purchased on E-bay. Along with the new gages, I installed a New Vintage 4-LED indicator. This is top center in the cluster and has left & right turn arrows plus high beam and caution indicators contained within a standard 2-1/16" dia gage housing.
During this work, I also installed two other items you can see in the photo: A) a new Grant Rally GT steering wheel and B) a drop-in black anodized aluminum cup holder. I had to relocate my hatch rocker switch to install the cup holder, but this fit conveniently into the space next to the 5-speed shift diagram.
I think the black gage bezels, steering wheel and cup holder all fit nicely together into the subtle textured black surfaces of the otherwise stock dash and console.

Re: I want to see your custom gauges and other interior mods!
You guys who added an aftermarket oil pressure guage, did you replace the factory sender or T it with the new one? My 91 tpi wiring diagram shows the fuel pump relay depends on the factory oil sender to run.

I left the factory sender connected and used the oil sender that came with the oil pressure gauge and mounted it inline on one of my oil cooler lines.
