How do I get to the...
Hi Guys and Gals,
1983 Camaro Sport Coupe, T-Top
Engine LG4 5-Liter V8, 305cid
Transmission: Manual 5-speed
I need to replace the damaged, passenger side, manually-adjusted (from outside, not inside like on my driver's side) rear-view mirror and housing and would appreciate specific step-by-step instructions on how to remove the door panel to obtain access to the bolts, screws and/or fasteners that hold it on so I can do an R/R. Do I need any special tools?
While I'm in there, I would also like to attempt to check out why, when I press the button on the console, the power window MAY or MAY NOT go up when I put it down (I've left it up for some time now in fear it might not go back up if I put it down). I've read in another thread: "...remove the door panel and thoroughly clean and relube moving parts." so, perhaps this is all I need to do. What do you think?
Also, any attached images, illustrations or pertinent links would be greatly appreciated too.
Thanks much!
Gene

Hey thanks for the link to that video #1...
the only thing better would have been for that dude to come over and do the work for me. It has given me useful insight into the tools I'll need as well as the how-to I was looking for.
