Blower fan doesn't turn on
Blower fan doesn't turn on
I just picked up my second third gen, an 86 Z28, for a steal, but it came with quite a few problems I've been chasing down. Drivers side window has been down the entire time the previous owner had it. I hooked up the window switch and replaced the door motor, problem solved. Ignition was busted and started with no key; I replaced the cylinder today, so that's fixed.
Now since I can seal the cabin with glass all the way around, I'm ready for some heat and a defroster! The fan switch doesn't do anything. I was just out fiddling with it tonight, I checked the plug with my multi-meter and got some really really low voltage readings from it. I'm not sure what it should read, though. Is there a way to troubleshoot the blower itself to see if its bad? Is there a relay I should check? All fuses are good.
Thanks!

the blower motor has a high speed relay, but if that goes out it just means you dont get HI, you still get the other 3 speeds. you can test the motor itself by applying 12v to it to make sure it spins.
