Help with my horn!!

So I have a horn button on the side. (One of those from auto zone). I want to fix the horn so that it works from the steering wheel. does anyone have a wiring diagram I can take a look at? Or any advice or pictures of what to expect will be awesome too. Thanks.

Re: Help with my horn!!

there is a particular little wire you need that plugs on to the horn button ,the other end is a push n twist deal. if you have the round horn button ,the dorman pn is"49319". im not sure about the square horn button .i got mine at oreilleys, and as long as the horn relay is good, and the horns are in working order AND no drunken monkeys have had a go at your wiring, you should be good to go

Re: Help with my horn!!

The horn circuit consists of a orange green and black wire, the orange wire feeds power directly from the ctsy fuse in the fuse box to the junction box usually mounted under the dash above your right knee, this box contains the key in door chime, flash unit and horn relay, check for power at the orange wire before it enters the relay, the green wire runs to the horns in the engine
compartment, the black wire runs to the horn switch on the column, depressing the horn closes the circuit sounding the horn.quite often other accessories may be disabled also, pwr locks, mirrors, radio, dome light etc,the reason is that the orange wire from the ctsy fuse in the fuse box has a splice approx 10 inches down the line from the fuse box, distance may vary,4 other orange wires run off this splice feeding the above mentioned accessories.
understanding the wiring and how it works makes diagnosis and repair much easier, take your time go step by step and u will find the problem.
