Steering column install

HI , I was wondering if the steering column from my 82 z28 parts car would fit my 89 iroc without having to change the female connecters on the columns. Both cars were A/T with tilt. I know about VATS and it has already been bypassed with a chip and jumping the starter relay. Also i don't have the 89 column to campare with the 82. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Steering column install

I just put a 89 column in a 82 and had no issues at all so going the other way I cant see anything going wrong. I have a 89 with a 85 column in it.

Re: Steering column install

Finished it up today. The only thing i had to do was trim some excess plastic off the ignition plug to get it to fit. Everything else went right into place and everything worked great. Thanks for the feedback.
