No one has a 85-86 TA with Gray/Graphite seats, that's hard to believe.

Re: Seat Upholstery

Hey Manta.....here are the donor seats and door panels the I am going to use up next to my covers that I got from Classic. Though the shade is close, mine are still darker than the areas that have not been exposed to sun/wear. I`m still not sure what to think though....the seats and door panels are from an `85, and alot can happen over 27 years.

Re: Seat Upholstery

Also, did you have to do any sewing with your seat covers?

Re: Seat Upholstery

The Graphite inserts look almost the same as the doner door panels. That's what I was saying, underneath the plastics where the sun didn't get to, is just about the same color as the new ones. That's all fade. No I didn't need to sew anything, had to cut a couple holes, they fit like a glove, very tight.Hope you got a good set of hands and long hog ring pliers, that's pretty rough on the hands.Good Luck, keep us up to date.

Re: Seat Upholstery

Hey Manta....
I put the covers on one of the rear seats tonight. Man, you aren`t kidding...these things are tight. I feel like I have He-Man hands after that workout. But the colors are really growing on me, and I am excited to see it in the car.
Did you see the `86 on Ebay now? Notice how dark the inserts are? It will be interesting to see what our seats look like with a year or two of wear.

Re: Seat Upholstery

Your going to like them!!I'm telling you that those old covers have faded so much they look Gray, there's nothing about Graphite in the old ones!!the new ones have to be correct, they match the console the dash anything in the car that is Graphite.
