TA t-handle a direct fit for 91 Z28 shifter?

OK, I have searched alot and found some opinions here and there but nothing definite. I have a 91 Z28 with the square style **** on the auto shifter. Will a TA t-handle fit directly on my shifter with no mods? I know the TA t-handle uses the staple instead of a lock ring, and I think that part will work based on what I have searched and read- but not certain. Also not sure what parts on the inside of t-handle look like and if they will depress the rod correctly. Thanks for any help.

We put one on my son's '87 Z, no problem. Can't say about your '91
