91-92 HMSL problem, need help

I posted this in the electronics and haven't gotten any help, so maybe I will here: just found out my high mount stop light in my 91 camaro doesn't work, it's not even wired up. Idk where the light goes to or anything. Can someone assist me in wiring this to the brakes so when the the brakes are pressed the light works? Would running new wires to the brake light wires, splicing them into the brake lines, and soldering or taping it off work? How were they wired originally (ground/power)? Any help would be awesome, thanks guys!!

Your tail light harness is loomed and goes over the driver side rear wheel well, trace back the ground and power wires for the brake lights and just splice it into that. It would require pulling the carpet up and removing the rear plastic panel in front of the tail lights but definitely easier than running the wire up to the fuse box.

I will definately try that.... It's a little cold out right now, odd, but I figured splicing in is a lot simpler than trying to run and hide the wires as well
