I feel dumb asking this but......

I just put a new(used) dome light housing into my car. There are the little things that slide onto the studs that hold the plasctic housing on. I need those. I've put in a couple hours searching online and here on TGO. I can't find anything anywhere about them. No name, part number nothing. I know they are probably universal and found somewhere for really cheap I just can't find them. Anyone know anything?

You are looking whats called a Push nut.
Size? I am not sure. Local auto parts stores usually sell variety packs of them.

Re: I feel dumb asking this but......

I used 1/8" speed nuts to hold my dome light in which I picked up at Lowes. I had to widen the whole a hair but they work awesome.

Re: I feel dumb asking this but......

Vatozone ( autozone ) has them in the dorman/help isle . Just go in and ask for them. Or better yet, go to a wrecking yard and pull some there.

I wish I had a yard anywhere even close to me that would let me go in and pull ny own parts. No such luck though
