Re: Sheet Metal Interior Pics Needed
Since no one posted sheet metal pictures, when i got to my interior i decided to make my own and give anyone looking to do the same ideas.
The image i was going for mine was to keep the same Camaro feel to the dash with a NASCAR/ Drag Race feel, i tried bending the aluminum dash in one piece and that is nearly impossible. What i did was take measurements of the dash and break it into sections and create those and then rivet them all together and this is what i got.

Before riveting the sides in place i checked fitment and needed to trim, ive had to do this in a few spots because i made everything a tad bit longer to help cover and give it a clean look, after trimming i added the rest of my rivets and started working on the gauge panel more.

Re: Sheet Metal Interior Pics Needed
Rivets are all in the dash, i set the gauge panel in and had to make minor adjustments to get it to fit but it finished out nice. i still need to make brackets for it and trim around the column on the drivers side but i set the dash pad on just to give you a idea of how its going to look.
once i finish the dash i do plan on making a mimic console, some ideas i have for it are to flatten the AC/Radio area and put my extra gauges there since i wont have a radio or AC. I plan on using C6 brakes and im not sure if i can keep my E Brake so if i cant then ill annex that area but keep the " glove compartment ". As for now i have to head back to work for a couple of weeks. Ill try and keep this posted on my interior progress but check my build page just incase. I plan to post all these pics there as well to keep the followers updated on progress aswell.

Nice work! I've though about doing the gutted car with sheet metal door panels and everything but I don't know what to do with all the room under the hatch where the plastic panels go

i plan on doing the rear aswell, so keep a eye on this thread. ive been thinking of buying aluminum wheel tubs and cut them down to fit the inside and mold sheet metal to it. ive been looking into ideas and have a few in my head but ill wait to do the back once i have my tank in that fits in the rear luggage compartment. i want to have most of what i want in the rear area installed before making the sheet metal fit so i dont have to keep trimming and keep trimming. i may get bold and even do the headliner in sheet but we will see how everything goes, what i cant sheet i plan to black carpet to tie in the outiside.

Re: Sheet Metal Interior Pics Needed
i work 15 days on and 6 off, it took me a week strait of getting up at 5am and working till midnight to get it to where it is. I didnt start stripping my old dash till i absolutely needed the skeleton that way i could measure all the way up until then. i didnt have a bend break so i just used a bench vise and wood with vise grips to bend it all, i bought a 5x10 sheet of aluminum it was around 100$ the rivets and gun i had so i dono what your cost will be there and just... TIME, Lots of it lol. i also had 6 pair of different sheers so that made cutting easy, and if you have to use sheers and not a bend break dont cut all the way to the end and it wont leave ugly creases. I'll try and help as much as possible.
