Can I use this..?

In my 91 Z28 my high beams are not activating. I thought it was the dimmer switch but it's not. The steering column was taken a part and when I got inside of it I noticed that a piece from the turn signal switch was broken which is probably why the high beams wont turn on. So I found the part I need but its for 1984-1989 Camaro's. I was wondering if it would work in my 1991 Z28? He's the part.

I had a similar problem with my old 89 firebird. I went to autozone and asked for the high beam switch for an '81 camaro, brought it home, mounted it to floor (I think 3 self tapping screws) and the stock harness actually plugged right into the old style switch. Stock connector is right under dash, no disassembly required.

Then if it doesn't work for you, you can return it and get your money back. Easy to test, hardest part of the install is cutting a little hole in the edge of the carpet. Plus, I prefer the foot operated style.

Re: Can I use this..?

On my 91 the rod running from the turn signal arm down to the switch is bent somewhere at the top. I had to lengthen the rod 1/8 inch for it to work properly.
Seems to be a somewhat common problem for these cars to have hi - low beam issues.
