ANYBODY dig up a replacment for the filler seal that go's on the A Piller plastic.

that GM used to fill the Gap...

I ran across a seal that works and looks Factry, and you can get it a any napa parts house! will post Pics.

was installing a A Piller Pod. and picked up some A piller plastic from the parts yard
A piller plastic $5.00 ea. cuzz i dont cut my car parts up!

GM still has all the clips to hold them in place another $8
but the seal filler that GM installs in the A trim as a filler,is cracking and dryed out on alot of cars,..(even mine) shows age and it's always inside.

and after looking for the right style and type of seal..
i came up with this stuff from Napa.

Do you have a pic or part number? I had found something on Amazon that might do the trick also. It is not a u shape like the original but it should fill in the space nicely.

Re: Reflacment A piller Plastic trim seal.
yes ill post some pic's today. with the part #'s
what i cam up with is a seal for truck tailgates.. dont role your eyes yet!

see the seal that GM used to fill the Gap was just that..a gap filler it did not seal at all just pluged up a ugly gap left what the A piller trim was snaped into place.

sorta L shaped and would push out and laydown at the same time.. and just look good.

well when this seal is installed and snapped into place it looks just like the one GM used,
it pushed out and you dont see any Diff from the Factry GM seal used.

this shot shows the seal installed it comes with 3M tape installed. but you will need a 2nd roll of the same Gray 3/4" wide 3M dubbl sticky tape.

the tape on the left the seal comes with..the tape on the right you get to apply.
apply tape to A piller plastic First.

now if you look at the Above photo. you can see the shap we want, sorta folding back.
and below when it's pushed on it folds out to the side/front.

I just got one from JC Whitney when I did mine years ago. Found the right profile one on line... but this looks just as good and cheaper too...

This stuff here is very versatile, its what I used on the gas tank hangar straps. Worked great. The local Chevy dealer parts guy called it anti-squeak material. I got it Ace HW for about 20 bucks.

Re: Replacement A piller Plastic trim seal.
Did anybody else have any issues getting the trim piece back in? I can't seem to get it to slide back into place properly. Any advice?
