Okay guys. I just got in my mail a T-Top Overhead Console. But the "Map Pocket is Torn away. Has anyone fabbed one up or is there a way to remove/replace with a good existing one?

I'd imagine there are a ton of sunglass pouches floating around (I think I have several including the one below). Most all of them will have stretched elastic. The swap is easy enough. There are push fasteners on the rear.

BTW, it appears that you're missing the 'map' button.

Actually the button is out of the socket. I took it out to see if I can get it to loosen up because it gets stuck. It's there, just on the inside hanging around. But I did find replacements from the actual manufacture of the push button.

Also, there many sunglass pouches out there. The mission is finding one with the right dimensions, none the less, a durable one that will last for years.

 

JamesC, can you give me demensions of your map pocket, as well as the type of material? I think i may just make one. My dad knows how to do upholstery.

Measure the rectangular depression, which will have six holes for the mounting pegs, IIRC. I'm uncertain if the pouch itself is leather or a vinyl of some sort.

There should be a ton of these, in one condition of another, floating about. I'd purchase one before I went to the trouble of fabbing something.

EDIT: Sorry, I see that the blacking plate is in place, but that the pouch itself is missing.

I already took off the backing plate. I thought about getting some auto plastic (which is less prone to cracking in time) and making a duplicate backing plate, and tapping in some small screws so that I don't have to deal the press-on clips if I ever need to remove the plate. But since I work at Target, I acquired a LPDA (Leader Personal Device Assistant, aka the small handheld computer) holster pouch. I'm gonna remove the belt clip and put it on the plate for now. I think it looks ok, other than the Target embroidery logo on the pouch. Lol
