Black or Grey Seatbelts
Hey guys, quick poll since I'm undecided. My '83 Z28 has dark grey seat belts with busted upper recoils, I have been watching these forums and eBay for over a year now trying to find a replacement set, with NO luck. I can get light grey or black, so I've decided to do that for now while I keep looking
The car is dark charcoal metallic with the orange LS interior (grey carpets).
I have included a photo of the interior. They look light grey in the pics, but they are definately dark as I accidentially bought a light grey one on eBay last year and they're totally different.

Please help me decide!! I will be buying a NOS set in the next week or so (likely from Hawks)

Re: Black or Grey Seatbelts
I chose black for the poll choice because when I installed black leather seats into my red interior, the red belts now looked out of place. Black is perfect due to all Camaros' having black dashes, dash pads, consoles and lids. They will never look out of place. Just be sure to change the rears belts as well.
You can also dye them like I did.

Re: Black or Grey Seatbelts
As it turns out, grey might be the only option.
I've talked to a lot of companies, and they all only have LH and RH NOS in light grey. Supposidely the passenger side has been discontinued in all the other colours.

If you have to have the dark gray belts (either color would work, IMO), you can always have http://www.ssnake-oyl.com/ restore the original belts.
Yes, they are pricey, but according to many, their work is top-notch!

I'd say gray, unless you're going to be painting the plastic that sits on top of the door sills. Also, black seat belts from these cars are almost always purple looking by now.

I voted black. Black goes with any color. I mean the light gray would not look too bad, but IMO black is the way to go iff you can get them. For some reason I like the seats-got a cool 80's look to them.
