Interior Plastics

It would be nice to have a company reproduce all the interior plasctics that come in a variety of color and carpeted/non carpeted options. Im sure a lot of owners would dish out the money. HINT HINT!!!

Re: Interior Plastics

It's not going to happen... There's WAY too many of our cars sitting in junkyards with full interiors, unlike 1st and 2nd gens...

Yes but most are faded, and I would rather buy a new panel instead of cleaning and painting old ones for the paint to just come off.

Well, there's someone making them here, but, it will get pricey to redo the whole car, should the parts all become available. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/inte...iner-trim.html

Re: Interior Plastics

Again, as I said before, it's not going to happen with the demand being so low due to there being a literal TON of our cars sitting in junkyards with full interiors (I go to 2 where each third gen has a full interior that is untouched except for a bit here and there).

No company is going to repop panels until most of the factory panels are broken or sitting in a landfill somewhere. Only reason the headliner trims are being repopped is because they're most commonly broken at the screw holes, especially towards the quarter panel ends, and people want to find good ones.

Besides, if done right, the paint lasts. Fading really isn't that big of a deal. Although it would have been nice if GM had added the UV stabilizer to the plastics they used to make the panels so they wouldn't fade so bad so quick...
