How do I remove the wiper lever?

Trying to replace the windshield wiper lever from the steering column but I'm not sure how it comes out exactly. Also, I can't figure out how the steering wheel comes off. I removed the air bad and the large nut in the center of the wheel but it still won't come off so I must be missing something. Any tips are appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Re: How do I remove the wiper lever?

It would have been better to call it the turn signal lever I guess. lol

I need special tool to remove the steering wheel and I found a thread that explains everything pretty well.

The combo stalk just pulls straight out if you don't have cruise control. Many are rusted in though. Sometimes takes enough force to brek the lever, but not a big deal if you are replacing it.

The cruise ones pullout too, but they have a wire that runs through the column to the harness connectors that you have to fish through or cut and reconnect.
